Conference on ‘Des métamorphoses indiennes de Malraux au Musée imaginaire- Questionner et réévaluer les réflexions de Malraux sur la civilisation de l’Inde’ Musée Guimet, Paris

23 novembre 2016 A series of seminars were organised at Musee Guimet on « Des métamorphoses indiennes de Malraux au Musée imaginaire-Questionner et réévaluer les réflexions de Malraux sur la civilisation de l’Inde » on 23-24 November 2016. Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador of India, His Excellency Dr. Mohan Kumar underscored the role played by André Malraux in promotion of mutual understanding between India and France. He also shared a few interesting anecdotes on intellectual dialogue between India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Malraux. Mr. Michaël de Saint-Chéron, Research Associate at EPHE (centre Histara), former President of ‘Amitiés internationales André Malraux’, coordinated the organisation of this Seminar. This two day seminar discussed the ideas of André Malraux on India and his role in promotion of cultural relations between India and France. Several research scholars, diplomats and students participated in the seminar.
